About the Meriden Wallingford Society for the Handicapped, Inc. of Central Connecticut
The Arc of Meriden-Wallingford, Inc. is a membership agency that provides comprehensive, full-service, community-based opportunities for people with disabilities. 

Guided by over 120 community members and an active Board of Directors, the Arc always has its focus on improving the lives of people with disabilities

The Arc of Meriden-Wallingford offers advocacy and assistance to our members along with advocating for the rights and choices of people with disabilities in our community. 

As one of the larger private providers in the State of Connecticut, the Arc has an array of services including: employment options, school to work transition, day service opportunities, individualized services, residential alternatives, a recreation program and a self-advocacy group. The Arc of Meriden-Wallingford’s vision is to meet the self-directed goals of each individual served. 

The Arc of Meriden-Wallingford, Inc. is the local Arc chapter of Arc/CT  and Arc/US. We work closely with these two affiliations to advocate for people with disabilities across the nation. Our members are kept informed of state and national issues, trends and future direction.
