Services Program Services Community Experience Active Community Experience Therapeutic Opportunities for Older Adults Powers Industries Recreation Program Employment Placement Residential Services Individual Services Community Experience Therapeutic The Community Experience Therapeutic Program (CET) is a full service program that offers opportunities for individuals with multiple disabilities to participate in personal choices within their environment and in their local community.  CET is located in downtown Wallingford, within walking distance from the post office, library, art gallery, coffee shop, ice cream shop, and stores. The setting tends to be a very low demand, relaxed, quiet environment. Many of the individuals have challenging medical needs that are met by highly trained staff. At the site, individuals can choose to relax on the waterbed or in a massaging recliner.  Activities in the area are based on personal choice and individuals can be seen participating in arts & crafts, cooking, games, sing-a-longs, music therapy, movies, exercise, sensory stimulation, planting or other events of their choice.  During the day individuals choose to participate in community activities that have included visits to the parks, beach, planetarium, bowling, scenic walks, police station, fire station, shopping, restaurants and coffee shops, ice cream shops and more. Highly trained staff provide assistance with personal needs, adult daily living skills, volunteer opportunities, future dream building, and person centered planning, personal relationship building, self-advocacy, advocacy and behavioral management.
